340 SOUTH

Northern Virginia has been enjoying these musicians for the last 30 years. They have played everything from Texas Swing and Rock & Roll to Blues in several different venues. Ted Seely (guitar & vocals), Vince Galeano (drums, percussion & vocals), and Chip Galeano (bass & vocals) played together in the late 70's to the mid 80's in Whitewater, a country/rock band touring the eastern U.S. opening for the likes of Willie Nelson, Hank Williams Jr., Mickey Gilley, and Peter Frampton at Merriweather Post Pavilion in 1982 in Columbia Md. After their wild days of traveling the countryside playing great music and entertaining thousands of music lovers, Ted settled in the town of Front Royal Va. with his wife and family. Vince settled in Dale City Va. with his wife and son. Chip finally moved to Front Royal VA and together Chip, Ted, and Vince decided they were ready to play more music. They needed another guitarist/vocalist to round out the harmonies. It didn't take long to find Jim Nicholson. Jim had spent time playing with the bands, Sierra, Shenandoah, and Top Cops, which enjoyed popularity and fame in the northern Virginia area. Jim is a native of Front Royal, now living in Page County Va. Jim adds his rich vocal harmonies and creative guitar licks to complete the smooth rockin’ sounds of 340 SOUTH.

Matt DeRamus is the newest addition to 340 SOUTH. Matt a Colorado native, moved to Virginia in 1983. Now living in Fredrick County Va. with his wife Zen. Matt has played in several local bands over the years, and has honed his skills in the blues & rock genres. The shared love of riding motorcycles and playing music, allowed him to meet and sit in with the members of 340 SOUTH in the summer of 2007. Matt has been graciously accepted as part of the band where he adds his unique style of playing to the mix of 340 SOUTH. These five musicians present a show that is fun, entertaining, and down home good. Whether it is rock n' roll, country, blues, or all three blended together for their unique sound that can’t be beat.
